Fast. Focused. Ever-Friendly.
Those are the three characteristics that Sarah Fisher radiated as a professional race car driver, and now she uses them as she works to successfully balance her life as a business owner, spouse and mother.
Sarah’s racing career began when she was just five years old, competing in quarter midgets and karts with her dad, Dave. At nineteen years old she first came into the public eye when she became the youngest woman to qualify for the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” – the Indianapolis 500.
Throughout her racing career, Sarah completed a number of landmark accomplishments for women in racing including:
Being fast and focused lead her to those achievements, among many others. And the ever-friendly part? Sarah was voted “Most Popular Driver” four times in the IndyCar Series (three consecutively) and once in the NASCAR West Series. Her attitude also quickly lead to an impressive portfolio of sponsors – companies like Tag Heuer, Mead, AAA, Dollar General and Kroger wanted to be affiliated with Fisher.
In 2008, Sarah founded Sarah Fisher Racing, transitioning her career from driver to full-on team owner responsibilities in 2010. Sarah now runs Sarah Fisher Racing with her husband, Andy O’Gara, in Indianapolis where they live with their daughter, Zoey. Sarah also had the honor of being appointed to the National Women’s Business Council for a three-year term in 2013.
The 2017 WebLink Summit is all about forward thinking and overcoming obstacles.
