An association and nonprofit executive with over 15 years of experience, Nealy Wheat is the Chief Financial Officer of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce.
Nealy earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives in 2008 and her professional experiences include statewide trade and professional organizations, international, charitable foundations and chambers of commerce. In her current role with the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Nealy oversees finance, human resources, information technology, operations for the Chamber and its charitable foundation and the Minority Business Accelerator program. Nealy graduated from The University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Management and from Kennesaw State University with a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Administration.
She served on the board of directors for the Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) and was given the honor of the Emerging Leader Award by that organization. Nealy was also named in the Top 90 Movers and Shakers in the association and nonprofit profession in Georgia.
She is currently a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Florida Society of Association Executives, serving on various committees. Nealy is a graduate of Leadership Tampa ’13 and is a member of Leadership Tampa Alumni.
